Rainstorm-V2 is pretty busy with real life right now, so I apologize on his behalf for his short reply. You don't necessarily have to make 500+ edits to become an admin; edits are hardly reflective of a user's worthiness of adminship. It isn't an honor to become and admin, as being an admin means that you have to clean up edits after vandals and show that you can properly utilize an admin's powers, such as moving images, blocking users, deleting pages, etc. Making 5 edits and telling an admin "Im really talented and I could really help your Wikia" does not fulfill any of the above requirements, I'm afraid.
I know I'm pretty late reply. School and all of that. But ChaosVoid is true, and the reason why I'm a admin of this wiki? without having 500+ Edits, is because I'm a former Admin on the main Wiki. Sorry if it seems like it. But I'm not showing any form of bias.
It's much easier to use the default template, like for example, take a page I made ( http://rebornfanon.wikia.com/wiki/Terra_Kozato ) and click edit on that page. i'll start at the top of the page & end with " 11th Generation]
